Waders, screws and saws were all carried through the slough as we trudged our way towards the permanent duck blind that had been built years earlier and sat out of commission for the past three seasons.

This year it would see it’s ressurection.

Our guides, Tony, Dillon and Nick all spent the day in waist deep water, putting some TLC into the structure that will create many memories this fall.  Our clients shot a lot of ducks out of this slough last year (somewhere around the 1,000 duck mark) and this year will be even better with the new (old) duck blind.

It’s going to comfortable, warm and deadly to the waterfowl in the area.

After repairing and replacing, it was time for some training.  All of the dogs got a good workout in the water.  The new ramp was mastered in no time!

It won’t be long before we’re putting the hurt on mallards, blue wing teal and wood ducks.  The best part is, you can be doing it with us!  Book your guided waterfowl hunt with us and stock up on shells, cuz you’re gonna need ’em!
