We’re a couple days into the dove season now and we’ve already put over 300 doves in the bag. Our opening day (September 1st) saw our greatest opening day ever and it’s been steady ever since. Dove hunts are usually warm weather hunts with sunny skies. You’ll sit on a comfortable stool on a field edge with dove decoys in front of you. The birds come out of nowhere and zero in on your decoy spread giving you a nice, clean shot at a good distance. The limit is 15 per hunter but sometimes these small birds present a good wingshooting challenge, so you may have to shoot at twice that many (or more) to get there. Lots of shooting, lots of fun with the chance to relax at the Watson Hunting Camp bar in the evening. We offer on site lodging with breakfast before your hunt.
